About CBRC

The Capital Bicycle Racing Club is the New York Capital Region’s premier bicycle racing club. CBRC Member Advantages

Club members enjoy bicycle racing as a team with other CBRC members. Various Club Team Coordinators arrange training rides, car pools to races, and plan race strategies.

Club training rides provide members the opportunity to train with cyclists of like abilities. Club training rides also allow members to challenge themselves by riding with faster riders, improve cycling skills, and learn from more experienced racers.

CBRC has USA Cycling certified coaches and race officials that provide bicycle race experience and expertise to its members and at the events that CBRC hosts.

CBRC is committed to junior and women’s involvement in bicycle racing and supports junior and women’s teams through training camps and mentoring.

The club organizes spinning classes during the winter months and offers these classes at little or no cost to club members.

CBRC’s annual dinner, summer picnic, and other social events provide an opportunity for club members and their families to get together in a relaxed atmosphere, away from the race scene.

Over the years, CBRC has been most fortunate to have the support of numerous Capital Region businesses through club sponsorships or support for its events. As a result, CBRC members enjoy discounts on equipment and services from local bicycle retailers, fitness clubs, coaching services, bicycle manufacturers, and other local businesses.

Likewise, CBRC supports our local businesses, civic organizations, libraries, rescue squads, and fire departments directly with CBRC contributions and with volunteer efforts.
